R&D Program Manager Job

Job Accountabilities:
Provides leadership and problem-solving for multi-faceted, cross-functional Research & Development team.
Proves expertise in project planning and timeline development & management
Develop approaches to sustain and communicate success and progress across global stakeholders.
This individual will be responsible for creating & maintaining budget and will be primary contact to Finance
Manages headcount and budget resources
Effectively work with and influence team functional representatives
Conduct appropriate project risk assessments and defining a mitigation plan
Will be primary contact to Legal Department
Will be responsible for working with collaborators and develop Statements of Work, negotiate consulting agreements, and manage collaborator/vendor deliverables
Set-up stakeholder communication & updates meetings
Critical Competencies:
The successful candidate will be experienced in the consumer goods industry and demonstrate the following skills:
Highly effective organization, negotiation, coordination, and presentation skills
Ability to communicate effectively over the phone, online, and in person
Meeting facilitation skills
Experience writing scope statements
Strong understanding of linking research to business opportunity
Leadership: Ability to lead multi faceted teams
&a
mp;nbsp; Strong familiarity with PMI methodology
Team Work: Ability to manage multiple priorities, think on their feet, and execute with speed
Initiative and follow through : Independent decision maker in a fast paced and demanding environment
In addition, the following capabilities will be essential to success in the job
Breadth of knowledge on developing strategic research plans
Expertise to coordinate research work streams within research changing environment
Experience in managing technical challenges
Experience managing several complex projects and priorities
Requirements: Required:
Proven track record of 10 plus years of experience in project management, program strategy, scope & resource definition, possibility/solution work stream generation, knowledge management, and its transition to applications
PMP Certification: Seasoned Program Manager with familiarity with latest tools, techniques, and methodologies to drive consistency across research programs.

Job Requirements:
This position will require flexibility in working hours associated with travel or project plans that may extend past typical working hours.
Field Travel will be required (domestic and international). Estimated 10%.
