Senior Manager, Beverage Packaging Research Job

Reports to BII Director
Leads a team of Engineers/Scientists focused on research on PepsiCo beverage packaging.
Leads internal development of breakthrough food packaging technology to fuel the Operating Divisions• innovation and productivity programs.
Establishes the agenda, priorities and work plans for their area of accountability.
Maintains the Technology Roadmap for Beverage Packaging Research and deploys resources based on priorities.
Identifies and sponsors new technologies for research.
Maintains a broad-based external knowledge of research and emerging technologies sourced domestically and internationally; commercially and academically across all fields of study•not solely package research.
Establishes relationships with external subject matter experts in industry and academia. Leverages these relationships through funding specific research at these companies and institutes.
Establishes partnerships with Operating Divisions to provide proof-of-principle, transfer the knowledge and support the development and initial commercialization of new technologies.
Requirements: Masters or PhD in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry preferred. Bachelors minimum.
Minimum 10 years industrial or academic research and development experience
